By definition Out of Band Management is used as a secondary management path to a remote site for use when the primary network is in question. It is ill advised to use any network based security protocols to secure Out of Band Access, as the primary network where this security information must travel, is in question. Therefore, RADIUS, TACACS+, ACE-SERVER and any other network based security protocols are impractical for securing Out of Band Access to a network.
